Kuzhikalail Abraham holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tufts University (1973), following M.Sc. (1967) and B.Sc. (First Class with Distinction, Gold Medal) degrees in Chemistry from St. Berchmans' College, India. His postdoctoral research was conducted at Vanderbilt University (1975) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1976), focusing on alkali metal compounds.
