• Led the project to study the disease mechanism underlying two neurodegenerative conditions (ALS and FTD) which included identifying the role of stress response protein (JNK) in promoting stress granule formation • Designed and performed research procedures involving mammalian cell culture, stem cell differentiation, fly genetics, gene expression, cloning, protein biochemistry, immunostaining, live imaging, confocal microscopy • Generated data resulting in 3 conference presentations, 1 original article, and 2 review publications
