About

In my industrial career, I functioned as a toolmaker, inventing novel methodology for organic synthesis. These discoveries included the "Nugent-RajanBabu Reagent" and the "Fagan-Nugent Reaction", which are now widely used in industry and academia. I was recently thrilled to learn that I have received the 2024 Herbert C. Brown Award "for creative research in synthetic methodology" from the American Chemical Society.
