About

Dr. Joss Greene received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University in 2021. Dr. Greene has focused his research on various aspects of gender and sexuality, including trans and nonbinary lives, the experiences of currently and formerly incarcerated people, and gender-based violence. His work has been published in numerous academic journals and he has presented at conferences around the world. Dr. Greene is also passionate about bringing academic insights beyond the academy; he was recently interviewed for a PBS Newshour special, and meets regularly with stakeholders ranging from grassroots community organizations to elected officials. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at University of California, Davis.
