About

Annika Hedberg is a Senior Adviser to the European Policy Centre (an independent think tank based in Brussels, Belgium) on climate and sustainability, and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council (a US-based think tank). She regularly writes and speaks on topics related to the green transition in the EU, the US and across the Atlantic. Before moving to Washington DC, Annika spearheaded European Policy Centre's (EPC) sustainability activities, including as the Head of Sustainable Prosperity for Europe Programme. During her 14 years at the EPC she worked on a wide range of topics, including climate, energy, environment, circular economy, food system, mobility, health, trade, digitalisation, and industrial transformation. Through discussions and analyses, she contributed to promoting discussion on the foundations and drivers for a more sustainable and competitive European economy.  She has previously worked also at the Finnish Business and Policy Forum EVA, a policy think tank in Helsinki, and at the Finnish Foreign Ministry. She has a LL.M. in Public International Law from the Helsinki University and a BSc in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics.
