Srinivasan Krishnan is an accomplished geologist with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He received his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1993. Prior to that, he completed his M.S. in Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1984. After completing his education, Krishnan began his career as an Exploration Geologist at ExxonMobil. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Senior Geoscientist, Principal Geologist, and Manager at the company. Throughout his career, Krishnan has been involved in numerous projects and has made significant contributions to the field of geology. He has a deep understanding of the Earth's structure and has a keen eye for identifying potential resources and hazards. His expertise has been sought after by various organizations, and he has been invited to speak at conferences and seminars around the world. He is also a published author, with several research papers and articles to his name. In addition to his professional achievements, Krishnan is also known for his leadership skills and his ability to mentor and guide young geologists. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others and is always willing to help his colleagues and students. Charged with supporting and assisting the firms Exploration / Production Company in identifying exploration plays and field development. Prepared sweet spot maps, GIS based assessments, and volumetric estimates. Assisted in creating development plan for drilling onshore Mid-Continent US, east Texas, and the Rockies. Co-ordinated drilling phase that successfully brought gas to surface and increased company’s resource base by an additional 2 BOEB

Senior Geoscientist / July, 2007 — March, 2013

Demonstrated technical skills in evaluating exploration acreage and interpreting 2D data gathered from Eastern Gulf of Mexico, Santos, Campos, & Espirito Santo Basins, offshore Brazil, NW Palawan and Sarawak Basins, Colombia offshore, Guatemala onshore and India’s western continental margin. Established workflows to properly set up and use state-of-the art 2D and 3D seismic mapping interpretations. Conducted sequence stratigraphy, facies mapping, and reservoir characterization in order to identify volumetrics and characterize risks. Directed staff to gather data, collate results, and prepare detailed structural, stratigraphic, and amplitude maps. Guided team in maturing prospects for drill ready stage.

Recruited to oversee initiation and execution of critical geological studies, providing technical leadership in mapping exploration plays from north Atlantic and west Africa Atlantic regions, Peru offshore, New Zealand offshore. Supervise preparation of paleogeography maps, gross depositional environments (GDE’s), seismic and sequence stratigraphy, play element maps, lead identification, and resource estimation used by senior management to direct company’s exploration activities.

Manage a team of five geoscientists and one reservoir engineer to conduct detailed technical evaluations from plate scale to lead/prospect evaluations for bid rounds, detailed basin analysis, prospect evaluations, generate volumetric and conduct risk assessments for exploration scale projects. Expertise in Brazilian Atlantic margin basins such as Santos, Campos, Sergipe Alagoas, and Espirito Santo Basins offshore Brazil, Other basins evaluated include west Africa deep and ultra-deep water, deep offshore Mexico Campeche South and Perdido Basins. Lead the team in the bid rounds including 2.1, 2.4, and 3.2. Steered the company into a joint bid with Chevron and Pemex for round 2.4. Colombia Caribbean Margin and onshore Llanos basins, Equatorial Guinea, West Siberia, Levant offshore Israel, and offshore Vietnam.
