Christos A. Makridis holds academic appointments at Columbia Business School, Stanford University, Baylor University, University of Nicosia, and Arizona State University. He is also an adjunct scholar at the Manhattan Institute, senior adviser at Gallup, and senior adviser at the National AI Institute in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Christos is the CEO/co-founder of [Dainamic](https://www.dainamic.ai/), a technology startup working to democratize the use and application of data science and AI techniques for small and mid sized organizations, and CTO/co-founder of [Living Opera](https://www.livingopera.org/), a web3 startup working to bridge classical music and blockchain technologies. Christos previously served on the White House Council of Economic Advisers managing the cybersecurity, technology, and space activities, as a Non-resident Fellow at the Cyber Security Project in the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, as a Digital Fellow at the Initiative at the Digital Economy in the MIT Sloan School of Management, a a Non-resident Research Scientist at Datacamp, and as a Visiting Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. Christos’ primary academic research focuses on labor economics, the digital economy, and personal finance and well-being. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed research papers in academic journals and over 170 news articles in the press. Christos earned a Bachelor’s in Economics and Minor in Mathematics at Arizona State University, as well a dual Masters and PhDs in Economics and Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University.

My expertise encompasses BIM, Digital Architecture, Sustainable Design, Interior Design, and Construction Details Design. I hold a PhD in Architecture, specializing in Architecture Technology and Sustainability from Islamic Azad University, which has provided me with a strong educational foundation. As a creative and Enthusiate architect, I am highly interested in engaging in insightful conversations, particularly regarding new technologies in the building industry.

Following pre-doctoral studies in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, I received a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Electro-Communications, Japan in 2009. From 2009, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in RIKEN BSI. In 2010, I won the prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Australian Postdoctoral Award (APD) fellowship, based at the University of Adelaide from 2010–2014. In 2012 he completed a Graduate Certificate in Education (Higher Education) (GCEHE) from the University of Adelaide. From 2014–2017 he was an adjunct research fellow at the University of South Australia. From 2016–2018, he was a Cascade (Marie Curie) Research Fellow in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham. From 2018- a research fellow at the University of Oslo. His research interests include AI, Artificial and spiking neural networks and learning algorithms, synaptic plasticity, neuronal dynamics, and neuromorphic engineering. Dr. Iannella is a member of SFN and a Senior member of the IEEE.

I am dedicated and passionate about inspiring and engaging my students in an effective learning process to generate new knowledge, do innovations, engage in technology transfer, and enhance human capital through interdisciplinary and collaborative research for the well-being of academia, industry, and society.

As a technologist, designer, and creative problem-solver, I'm passionate about teaching people to embrace new technology and explore. I am the Chair of the Computer Science department at Judson University. Before my appointment, I served as an Associate Professor in the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). I teach courses in Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Design Patterns, Interactive Media, Usability, User Experience, and Augmented/Virtual Reality. I was the founding director of the Collab Lab, a hands-on, creative space for students and faculty to engage in collaborative work. My research efforts are directed in several areas: AI Supported Individualized Learning, Learner Experience Design, Technology for Online Assessment, Interactive Mobile Learning, and Computerized Sign Language Synthesis. I enjoy collaborating on projects involving cutting-edge technology and new applications.

Dr. Colleen Lindecker is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional with over 25 years of experience in the field of education and psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, with a focus on adult learning and development. She also holds a Master of Science degree in College Student Development and Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Throughout her career, Dr. Lindecker has held various leadership positions in both educational and corporate settings. Currently, she serves as the Executive Vice President of Training and Continuous Learning at ROC USA, a national non-profit organization that focuses on resident-owned communities. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing training programs for22,000+ residents and staff to support their success in community ownership. Prior to joining ROC USA, Dr. Lindecker served as the Associate Dean of Faculty and Program Director of Psychology at large online, for-profit universities. In these roles, she oversaw the development and delivery of academic programs and provided support and guidance to faculty members. Dr. Lindecker also has experience in the business world, having served as the CEO and Founding Member of Lakeside Investments, LLC. In this role, she was responsible for driving portfolio growth and managing real estate investment assets. Dr. Lindecker's expertise and passion lie in the areas of adult learning, leadership development, disability advocacy, and community empowerment. She is committed to making a positive impact on individuals and communities through education and training. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Stefano De Angelis is a computer scientist with interest in distributed systems, blockchain, security, and verifiable computing. Currently, he is a visiting researcher at the University of Southampton, working on formal verification methods for smart contracts, and a researcher at the University of Salerno, working on privacy-preserving solutions for blockchain applications. Over his career, Dr. De Angelis worked for NATO HQ as security research scientist and for Algorand, a layer-1 blockchain, as principal scientist and solution architect. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Cyber Security awarded in 2022 from the University of Southampton, with a thesis about methodologies and benchmarking procedures for assessing blockchain-based systems in realistic adversarial environments, and an MSc in Engineering of Computer Science awarded in 2018 from the University “Sapienza” of Rome. He is the author of several research papers in the field of blockchain and security published in peer-reviewed journals, international conferences and workshops.

He is a world-renowned expert in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a focus on applications to health. Airoldi is a member of the prestigious Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the International Machine Learning Society (IMLS). He has published over 200 papers in leading journals and conferences, and his work has been covered by various media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Wired.

Jim Samuel is an Associate Professor of Practice and Executive Director of the Informatics Program at the Bloustein School. He is an information and artificial intelligence (AI) scientist, with significant industry experience in finance, technology, entrepreneurship and data analytics. Dr. Samuel’s primary research covers human intelligence and artificial intelligences interaction and information philosophy.  Dr. Samuel’s applied research focuses on the optimal use of big data and smart data driven AI applications, textual analytics, natural language processing and artificially intelligent public opinion informatics. His expertise extends to socioeconomic implications of AI, applied machine learning, social media analytics, AI education and AI bias. Dr. Samuel completed his Ph.D. from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College – City University of New York, and he also has M.Arch and M.B.A (International Finance) degrees.  Dr. Samuel has worked with large multinational financial services corporations, and advises businesses and organizations on data analytics and AI driven value creation strategies. He is passionate about research driven thought leadership in AI, information philosophy, analytics and informatics.

He previously served as a member of the graduate faculties in [Computer Science](http://www.cs.umn.edu/), [Scientific Computation](http://www.scicomp.umn.edu/), and [Data Science](http://datascience.umn.edu//).  He served ten years as the head of the ECE department at the University of Minnesota, worked as a research assistant at the Center for Supercomputing Research and Development at the [University of Illinois,](http://www.uiuc.edu/) and as a development engineer at [Tandem Computers Incorporated](http://www.tandem.com/) in Cupertino, California.  He received a [Fulbright](http://www.fulbright.org/) Senior Scholar Award to visit the University of Western Australia and was a visiting Professor at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has chaired and served on the program committees of numerous conferences.  He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for contributions to the statistical analysis of computer performance. He also is a registered Professional Engineer.

Tim Leung is a professor of operations research and financial engineering at the University of Washington. He holds a PhD from Princeton University and a B.S. from Cornell University. He has held previous positions as an assistant professor at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University.
