About
A/Prof Kane Middleton is a highly experienced and respected academic in the field of biomechanics. He completed his PhD in Biomechanics in 2012 and has since held various academic and research positions at top universities in Australia. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at La Trobe University and has previously worked as an Associate Research Fellow at The University of Wollongong and a Research Associate at The University of Western Australia. In addition to his academic career, A/Prof Middleton has also worked as a Human Performance Scientist at Defence Science and Technology Group and a Consultant Biomechanist with the Boston Red Sox. His research focuses on understanding human movement and how it can be optimized for various purposes, such as sports performance and injury prevention. A/Prof Middleton is highly regarded for his expertise in biomechanics and has worked extensively with industry partners, including: Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, David Caple and Associates, Defence Science and Technology Group, Defence Science Institute, data61/CSIRO, the Victorian Institute of Sport, and the Australian Institute of Sport. He is also actively involved in mentoring and supervising graduate students, and has published >70 articles in top peer-reviewed journals.
