Experienced academic Department Chair

and Healthcare. I am passionate about
training the next generation of health
care and public health leaders! I have
successfully led diverse teams through
both CEPH and CAHME accreditation
self-study and site visits,
successfully leading to
reaccreditation. I have recently
joined the Council on Education in
Public Health as site-visitor.
<br> My diverse research
background includes content expertise
in Social and Behavioral Sciences,
specifically the social,
environmental, and cultural factors
that affect health behaviors (smoking
and other risk behaviors as well as
preventive behaviors such as HPV
vaccine uptake). I have served as the
statistician on diverse research
projects including the epigenetic
effects of tobacco consumption,
podiatric medicine and surgical
outcomes, and most recently working on
the Central Iowa Basic income research
project as the local PI. I have served
as a peer-reviewer for multiple
scientific journals, including
Frontiers of Public Health, Preventive
Medicine, Pediatrics, and others. My
leadership roles include supervising
faculty and staff and supporting
students through their graduate health
sciences education - it is a joy and a
pleasure to support their growth and

and Teaching.
