Hi there, I am Mia. I am an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Master's of Science program at Springfield College. As the Managing Director of Insight DERG (a boutique business consulting practice), I collaborate with organizations and researchers to produce optimal solutions for today's business challenges. I earned a B.S. in Psychology and Business Management from Georgia Southern University, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia. I teach and research on leadership, positive workplaces, and change management. My work has been published in Advances in Developing Human Resource, Business Journal of Hispanic Research, and Psychological Health of Women of Color: Intersections, Challenges, and Opportunities. I was also the co-editor of the "Diversity Ideologies in Organizations" volume. I presented my works at 24 national conferences. I have developed and taught a total of 22 undergraduate and graduate level courses, and delivered over 250 global executive education live webinars for working professionals and lifelong learners across 80 countries. Brian Votaw is a highly experienced and educated professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University. With over 35 years of experience in the packaging industry, Brian has developed a strong skillset in finance, sales, business development, and marketing. After completing his education, Brian began his packaging career in 1986 as a Plant Accountant & Controller at Cadillac Packaging Company, then moving into Sales, Marketing, and Director of Sales. In 2003, He went on to work for Master Packaging/Star Packaging Corp. as a VP of Sales and Business Development Manager and later as Director of Sales & Marketing. where he oversaw all sales and marketing activities for the company. In 2012, Brian joined The InterFlex Group (through the acquisition of Star) as a Sales & Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for developing new business opportunities and products and maintaining relationships with existing clients. In 2015 He joined Jet Packaging Group as Exec. VP of Sales. During his time at Jet Packaging Group, Brian successfully grew the company's sales. product offerings, and expanded its client base. Brian retired from Jet Packaging Group in 2024/ Brian's extensive knowledge of the packaging industry and his strong financial, sales and marketing skills have made him a valuable asset to every company he has worked for. He is a results-driven professional who is dedicated to achieving success for both his clients and his employers.

Joel Kamau is a highly educated and experienced Machine Learning professional. He earned his Master's degree in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012, after completing his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Georgia Southern University in 2007. Joel has extensive experience in the field of Machine Learning, having worked as a Machine Learning Software Engineer at Siemens in Alpharetta, GA and a Machine Learning Engineer at Intel, working remotely. Through his education and professional experience, Joel has developed a deep understanding of various Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, as well as a strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++. He has also worked on projects involving natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive modeling. Joel is passionate about leveraging his skills and knowledge to develop innovative solutions and drive business growth through Machine Learning. He is constantly seeking opportunities to expand his expertise and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field. In his free time, Joel enjoys reading books on Machine Learning and playing soccer.
