My leadership at HCC's sustainability efforts was recognized within the US colleges and the impact of our initiatives was acknowledged with the inaugural 2012 National Green Genome Sustainability Leadership Award, a testament to our excellence in sustainability across education, administration, and economics. My responsibilities included developing partnerships with over 30 organizations, managing grant applications for community-focused nonprofits, and securing funding for innovative projects addressing critical issues like food deserts and environmental degradation. These initiatives directly and positively impacted the community, demonstrating my commitment to community development and sustainability.
