About
Key words: Immunology oncology, Ph.D., Research Scientist, Flow cytometry, In vivo experiments, Translational research I'm a Ph.D. candidate trained in immunology and oncology. With 9+ years of research/teaching experience and 5+ years of clinical experience. I had 12 high-impact publications with 445+ citations, also 3 more publications in progress. I'm highly independent and scientifically critical with strong communication/writing skills (trilingual in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese) and collaboration experience. Meanwhile, I took on roles of ad-hoc peer reviewer and editorial board member. Years of lab/clinic training, projects/people managing, troubleshooting and collaboration experience made me very confident of becoming a successful post-phd research scientist and a lifelong science explorer. • Project 1: Developed live-Listeria based, highly-attenuated, oral immunization cancer vaccine. Evaluating the immunogenicity and prophylactic/therapeutic efficacy of Lm vaccines in mice orthotopic colorectal cancer models. First author publication in review. • Project 2: Worked on how mitochondrial dynamics and ER stress regulating tumor antigen presentation and immunogenicity in solid tumors using pre-clinical models with a small molecule inhibitor. Published first author paper on Nature Communications (IF=16.6). PMCID: PMC9259736 • Project 3: Worked on combination of B7-H3 CAR-T therapy and epigenetic therapy to boost the anti-tumor efficacy. Published first author paper on Clinical Cancer Research (IF=13.8). PMCID: PMC8722110 • Project 4: Studying how retinoic acid signaling during T cell priming regulates intestinal CD103+ CD8 TRM cell formation. Published paper on Journal of Experimental Medicine (IF=17.6). PMCID: PMC9960115 • Others: Designed, Conducted, and Participated in projects related to anti PD-1/PD-L1 therapy, non-coding RNAs, cancer biology, molecular biology as an Assistant Mentor and Project Designer. Several publications. EB1a Green card holder. No sponsorship needed.
