He completed his Ph.D. in 2001 from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and has since held various positions in prestigious institutions such as University of Oxford, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, and Purdue University. Marie Mooney, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics at the University of North Florida. She holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Genetics from the Van Andel Research Institute, a MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a BS in Bioinformatics, from Michigan Technological University. Prior to her current role, she served as a Senior Postdoctoral Associate at Lurie Children's Hospital, A T32 Postdoctoral Scholar In Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine at Duke University, a Research Associate at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on integrative and translational approaches to repurpose therapeutics for use in rare congenital disorders. Her laboratory uses zebrafish as a genetic model organism to generate and test bioinformatics-driven hypotheses.

Richard Metzger is a professor in the Digital Media Lab at the University of Cincinnati, where he teaches courses on media theory, digital media production, and cultural studies. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the popular blog Dangerous Minds, which covers topics such as music, art, politics, and fringe culture. Before his current roles, Metzger had a long and diverse career in the media industry. He started out as a music video director in the late 1980s. He also worked as a television producer and director, creating and hosting a network TV series in the UK.
