María Daniela Defagó graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition (2003), later obtaining the title of Technical Assistant in Bromatology (2004), a Doctor of Health Sciences at the National University of Córdoba (2010) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Effectiveness from the University of Buenos Aires (2017). She completed her postdoctoral degree in the Department of Cardiovascular Epidemiology at Tulane University (New Orleans, United States, 2011-2012), training in genetic and molecular epidemiology. She was a fellow of the Bernard Lown Cardiovascular Health program at Harvard University, United States (2014). She currently works as a teacher-researcher at the School of Nutrition of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (UNC), an associate researcher at INICSA-CONICET and as an associate researcher at the Center of Excellence in Cardiovascular Health (Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness, Buenos Aires). She has participated in numerous national and international scientific events and has publications in international scientific journals.
