Tali Reiner Brodetzki is a highly accomplished scientist with a strong background in zoology. She received her Ph.D. in Zoology from Tel Aviv University in 2018, where she focused on the study of animal behavior and evolutionary ecology. During her graduate studies, she published several papers in top scientific journals and received numerous awards for her research. After completing her Ph.D., Tali went on to work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers University. During this time, she continued to conduct research on animal behavior and evolution, and also gained valuable experience in teaching and mentoring students. In 2020, Tali joined the faculty at La Salle University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology. She is currently conducting research on the effects of human activities on animal behavior and adaptation, and is also teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in zoology, bioinformatics, genomics, and evolutionary biology. Tali's research has been widely recognized and she has received numerous grants and awards, including the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organisation's postdoctoral award. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology and the Animal Behavior Society. In addition to her academic and research accomplishments, Tali is also passionate about science outreach and communication. She regularly presents her research at conferences and seminars, and also participates in science fairs and other community events. She is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists and promoting the importance of studying and protecting our natural world. Overall, Tali Reiner Brodetzki is a highly skilled and dedicated scientist who is making significant contributions to the field of zoology. I am a proficient researcher with valuable research and teaching experience acquired at distinguished institutes like Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, US, University of Alberta, Canada, and Lethbridge Research Center (AAFC), Canada. I have been working for past 15 years on multiple projects focused on the economical, environmental and social sustainability of agricultural production. Improvement in livestock performance, productivity, and health by unlocking the microbiome, development of clean technologies, improving agriculture environmental performance, and Increase agro-ecosystem resilience are prime objectives for my research.

Rosani Matoso Silva is a scientific researcher and activist committed to advancing diversity and black and indigenous leadership in the fields of science and technology (S&T). Her passion and dedication to these causes led her to establish the Mancala Institute, where she serves as the director of research, spearheading innovative projects aimed at developing technological solutions to address social and racial disparities across Brazil. Rosani’s research is deeply influenced by her belief in the need for innovative methods to effectively monitor food insecurity, a critical issue affecting countless vulnerable communities. Rosani was selected for the prestigious Humphrey Fellowship program for 2023-2024, an opportunity that reflects her exceptional commitment and leadership potential. During the program, she seeks to enhance her leadership development, networking, and negotiation skills. Her goal is to build a supportive network with American organizations focused on achieving food security and sovereignty for vulnerable communities, thus expanding the impact of her work and contributing to the creation of a more just and inclusive future. Jeffrey Townsend is a Professor of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2002 and his Sc.B. from Brown University in 1994. He has been a teacher at St. Ann's School and an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut. He is currently the Elihu Professor of Biostatistics at Yale University.

Dr. Maurice O’ Sullivan is a sensory scientist and senior lecturer in food science working in the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, UCC. In the past Maurice has worked in the food industry as a sensory scientist and flavour chemist for Diageo Baileys and Guinness. He has worked as a food technologist and process/product development scientist for the processed foods sector in the 1990’s as well as more recently a product development consultant to the dairy, meat and beverage industries. He has a Ph.D. in Sensory and Consumer science from the Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark as well as MSc. and BSc. Degrees in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork (UCC). Currently Maurice works in the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, University College Cork as a senior lecturer and sensory and product reformulation project coordinator on large scale multi-million euro research projects. For many years he has also managed the “Sensory Unit” at UCC working on sensory and flavour based projects involving a diverse selection of products. This sensory science based service (at UCC) includes testing the difference, affective and descriptive analysis of foods and beverages as well as assessing shelf-life and comparing sensory results to microbiological and analytical (instrumental, physic-chemical) data using multivariate data analysis (MVA). Sensory testing is critical for new product development/optimisation, ingredient substitution and devising appropriate packaging and comparing foods or beverages to competitor’s products. Again, the key to unlocking the hidden secrets of this multimodal data is with MVA (Multivariate Data Analysis). To date Maurice has secured significant research funding of €5,300,000 Gross, €3,843,329.30 to UCC. He has worked in the area of targeted ingredient (salt, fat, sugar) reduction in foods since 1997. The focus of this research has been reduction of negative ingredients linked to civilisation diseases (Diabetes, Obesity, Heart Disease, Anaemia) while maintaining sensory properties, but also improving nutritional quality of developed products. To date this research has produced numerous publications with many more in development. Other research areas include Cross Cultural Sensory Perception of Irish Dairy Products in Asia, Europe and North America as well as Foods for the Elderly, Packaging and Meat optimisation. Maurice has published more than 200 sensory or consumer research based articles (papers, book chapters, proceedings etc.).

My interests broadly lie in the fields of bioinformatics and genomics. My particular areas of emphasis are primate comparative genomics in the context of both evolutionary mechanisms and applications to developing nonhuman primate models of human diseases.

Dr. Giuliana Noratto is a senior associate research scientist at Texas A&M AgriLife. She received her Ph.D. in food science and technology from Texas A&M University System, and her M.Sc. in food science and technology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. She also holds a B.S. in food science and technology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. Dr. Noratto’s research interests include food safety and quality, sensory science, and food processing.

Ishab Poudel is a veterinarian with a Ph.D. in Poultry Nutrition, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture and disease control. With extensive research experience, including the development of nutritional strategies to enhance livestock sustainability and reduce environmental impacts.

Naveen Adusumilli is an accomplished agricultural economist with a strong background in conservation policy-related research and extension work. He completed his PhD in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 2012, focusing on the economics of water resource management in agriculture. During his doctoral studies, he conducted extensive research on the impacts of climate change on agricultural production and the role of water markets in mitigating these impacts. After completing his PhD, Naveen joined Louisiana State University as an Extension Economist. In this role, he worked closely with farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to provide economic analysis and recommendations for improving agricultural productivity and sustainability. He also conducted outreach programs to educate farmers about the latest research findings and best practices in the field of agricultural economics. Naveen's research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at more than 100 farmer group meetings and national and international conferences. He has also received several awards and grants for his research contributions, including the Emerging Scholars Award in 2017 from the Southern Agricultural Economics Association and, in 2021, the Chair Leadership Award for his contributions to Soil and Water Conservation Society. from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. In addition to his work in academia, Naveen has also collaborated with various government agencies and international organizations on projects related to agricultural development and resource management. His expertise in agricultural economics has been sought after by organizations such as the Foundation for Agricultural Research, the National Institute for Water Resources, Foreign Agricultural Services, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and the World Bank. Naveen is a dedicated and passionate economist who is committed to finding solutions for the complex challenges facing the agricultural industry. Through his research and extension work, he continues to make valuable contributions to the field of agricultural economics and drive positive change in the world of farming.

A postdoctoral research scientist with over 9 years experience in bacterial genomics, microbiology, bioinformatics and antimicrobial resistance research. I’m seeking a Research Scientist or Epidemiologist role at public health genomics laboratories and I am the perfect fit for these roles because I have the following skills: molecular biology, research & development, strategic planning, project management, documentation, outbreak investigation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. In addition, I have the following qualifications: Cross-functional collaborator and experience elucidating methods and frequencies of horizontal gene transfer and antimicrobial resistance spread in bacterial species, as demonstrated by 26 peer-reviewed publications including 1 in Nature Microbiology. Experience in leading and managing project details and tasks as evidenced by over 20 projects in pathogen genomics, epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, and global health. Astute communication skills in bacterial epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance research resulting in 20 presentations and 6 travel awards to deliver such presentations, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
