About
As a professional in the field of Material Science and Engineering, my focus lies in the application of sustainable knowledge to address global issues. Through the utilization of innovative and critical thinking skills, I am dedicated to the application of Sustainable Technology and Materials Engineering, with the ultimate goal of steering our future away from our current climate change trajectory for the betterment of posterity. My educational background includes graduating from Appalachian State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Technology. During my time at the university, I had the opportunity to contribute to local projects and engage in international endeavors aimed at designing renewable systems and conducting energy evaluations to reduce costs and energy consumption. This degree provided me with a broad spectrum of experience in various areas of renewable energy, allowing me to utilize different design programs to draft wastewater systems, micro hydro systems, solar farms, and both residential and commercial designs of wind, among others. Additionally, I delved into building science courses, gaining familiarity with construction plans, green building certifications, and architectural design sketching. Furthermore, I pursued and obtained a Masters of Material Science and Engineering degree, which equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of materials in our environment and how to develop more sustainable products to minimize our carbon footprint. Both of my degrees have provided me with diverse experiences that have greatly influenced my approach to addressing global issues by applying sustainable knowledge and skills in a more creative manner.
